Description: The Cooperative Land Cover Map is a project to develop an improved statewide land cover map from existing sources and expert review of aerial photography. The project is directly tied to a goal of Florida's State Wildlife Action Plan (SWAP) to represent Florida's diverse habitats in a spatially-explicit manner.Changes from Version 3.7 to 3.8: CLC 3.8 includes several new site specific data sources. Revised FNAI natural community maps for 34 managed areas (2011, 2019, 2023-2024). FWC utilized the Power Plants dataset created by the U.S. Energy Information Administration to create a statewide delineation of solar farms. The solar farms classification is denoted as "Solar Farms" at the SITE level and reclassed as "Utilities" at the STATE level. Other classification errors were opportunistically corrected as found or as reported by users to landcovermap@myfwc.com.
