Description: This dataset contains mosquito observations in Florida that were submitted to GLOBE Observer Mosquito Habitat Mapper from 2017 to 2024 by participatory scientists (also known as citizen scientists or community scientists). GLOBE Observer is an app where people around the world can contribute to NASA's Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) Program.After the dataset was downloaded from GLOBE, which includes observations from around the world and is updated whenever a user submits a new observation, the dataset was spatially filtered to Florida and temporally filtered from the start of data collection in 2017 until the end of 2024. This dataset was processed in collaboration with the Geospatial Digital Informatics Lab at the University of Florida and the GeoPlan Center.
